Hypnotism To Quit SmokingTo work with a mentor or coach for the purpose of quitting smoking is not an easy thing. Still one of the best things you can do is work with hypnotism to quit smoking. Based on what is known about the placebo effect and how the mind may respond to certain suggestions tells us how we can best bring about human transformation. Research indicates that those individuals that are successful and most effective at life are those who have support systems consisting of individuals who offer them caring affection, encouragement, a sense of hope, reinforcement in times of doubt or struggle, and other positive interpersonal support. These individuals are even more effective when they combine this support system with a reduction of stress. This support combined with clarity of thought reduces uncertainty in life but it also has other effects in the body as well, including the release of endorphins and other positive body chemicals. You can see that the mind is like a television. We stay with one channel for a while, get bored, and switch on to the next channel. I call this "Mental Channel Surfing." Rather than being strange or unusual, this is the ordinary state of our minds. Many educators complain that people have even shorter attention spans now than 10 or even 15 years ago; this is the ongoing state of the mind. Our individual personalities bounce from one sense to another, one thought to another, like a butterfly going from one flower to another. The more people desire something, such as smoking, the more they focus their attention upon it and in turn the more this desire grows. The longer one desires, the greater the desire becomes. The greater the desire is, the more difficult it is to abstain from these things. This desire may become all consuming for it is nothing more than repeated mental imagery that has become a habit, sometimes with an emotional component and an associated physical action or habit. This desire is nothing more than various textures, sounds, tastes, colors, and aromas of life combined. Sometimes these desires lead to destructive patterns like smoking, poor choices, fears and various emotional problems. The delusion towards these things and the illusion of these things drags people away from their true destinies - the simple, joyous life. Instead, they are often dragged to destruction. In the end the more you know of your desires and your attachments to them the easier it is to quit smoking. |
